We are a family business in Holland, Michigan. Every fall we fill a room with brand new winter coats, boots, snow pants, hats, gloves and socks, then we open the doors and let West Michigan kids pick out their own.

About Us
This Started in Our Own Neighborhood
Our family has lived in Holland Heights, and our children had the chance to attend a great school and get a great education. The teachers at Holland Heights Elementary have a huge heart and a real desire to prepare kids for life. They supported our family when we needed it.
KODA has been around almost twenty years. Our business sits less than a mile from that school, and we felt led to support our community the way it once supported us.
KODA is a multi-generation business now. The children who once walked into that building own businesses of their own, and they are the ones excited to give back to the neighborhood that started them off on the right foot, and to kids across West Michigan heading into a winter without a coat.
All Proceeds Go to the Children
Donations buy winter gear for kids in need. 100% of what is given online goes straight to that gear.

They Pick It Out Themselves
That is the part that matters to us. Nobody gets handed a bag.

Families Are In Need
Across West Michigan, families are choosing between winter gear and the rent. The teachers see it first: the child in a hoodie in January, or the one who stays inside at recess.

The School Creates The List
School staff know who is going without. They write up which students need gear and in which sizes, item by item, child by child, and send that list to us.

You Can Make A Difference
We shop against that list, and so can you. New items in the sizes on the list, or funds so we can buy them. Nothing is bought for a child who is not already on it.

We Fill The Need
In early winter we escort registered families through the shop to hand pick the items they would like. They leave with an entire winter outfit, ready for winter.

One page with every size we are collecting, tick boxes down the side, room to write, and the drop-off address on the bottom. Print it for the aisle, or send it on to whoever is running your collection drive.
